This is a listing of twenty extensions for GNOME that I personally use and recommend. As of this post all them work flawlessly on the latest release of GNOME which is 3.18.2.

Allows you to make a bunch of changes to the activities button and panel appearance. You can change the padding, transparency, button text, add an icon, and a lot more.

My favorite podcasts of 2015 (and a request for new recommendations)

This is a list of the podcasts that I watched and/or listened to in 2015. I highly recommend checking them out as many are quite excellent in my opinion.

I do have another reason for posting this today and that is because I would love would love it if anyone reading this would recommend podcasts that they personally enjoy so that I can check them out and expand my horizons further for this new year.

In Memoriam: Ian Murdock

I just heard the news that Ian Murdock, the founder of Debian, has passed away.

He started Debian 22 years ago and in that time has made immeasurable contributions to open source community as a whole. Debian is by far one of my all time favorite Linux distributions and while it continues on without him it is sad that he will no longer be a part of it.

My thoughts and condolences go out to his friends and family. Rest in peace Ian and thank you for everything.
